Ben Goldberg is a Los Angeles–based Director of Photography and lighting professional. Born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema from San Francisco State University before moving to Los Angeles in 2010 to pursue a career in cinematography.

After gaining experience in a wide range of crew positions, Ben focused his career in the lighting department to develop a deep technical and creative understanding of light. Over the past 16 years, he has worked as both a Chief Lighting Technician and Assistant Chief Lighting Technician on numerous productions and is a proud member of IATSE Local 728.

With a strong foundation in lighting design and on set experience, Ben is now primarily focused on shooting narrative and documentary projects as a Director of Photography, bringing a technically precise and story-driven approach to his work. Outside of filmmaking, he enjoys snowboarding, spending time in nature, live music and travel.
